Monet Patrice Thomas is a writer & poet living abroad in Beijing, China where she teaches English Literature. She holds a degree in Business Marketing from Elon University & a Masters of Fine Arts from the Inland Northwest Center for Writers at Eastern Washington University. She was the Interviews Editor for The Rumpus from 2018 to 2021. Her writing has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and several best-of-the-net prizes. Her flash fiction story, Ring of Salt was chosen by Aimee Bender for the 2018 Best Small Fictions anthology. She attended the Tin House Summer Workshop with instructor Kiese Laymon for creative nonfiction & was a reader for the Wigleaf Top 50 from 2016-2018. Monet is represented by Stephanie Delmanat Sanford Greenburger Associates.
